Join us aboard the magnificent sailing barge Thistle, celebrating over 130 years of history, for a delightful two-hour cruise from Maldon’s Hythe Quay along the scenic Blackwater Estuary.
Set sail past Northey Island, Heybridge Basin and the entrance to the Chelmer & Blackwater Canal, before gliding by Millbeach’s stilted huts and taking in views of the privately owned Osea Island.
A traditional cream tea will be served from the central buffet in the saloon. Guests are free to enjoy their tea on deck or below, with plenty of space to sit, chat with the crew, and explore this beautifully restored vessel. Dining is informal, making for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout your journey.
