This guided scenic tour with Chris Goode around the coast of East Kent will feature towns and locations that formed part of the illustrious Cinque Ports Confederation designed to protect our shores and our nation before we had an official navy. Discover many hidden secrets, enjoy the fine panoramas, and be enchanted with many tales of smuggling. Following a coffee halt on Herne Bay seafront, you’ll head along the coast and onto the Isle of Thanet via Reculver, St Nicholas, Birchington, Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Sandwich and on to Deal for a lunch halt. Take a gentle stroll along the pier and enjoy lunch in the fine array of eating-places. Then continue via Walmer, Dover, Folkestone and Hythe before a final tea halt.
